Ageing Assets in the Offshore Oil and Gas Industry

Ageing Assets in the Offshore Oil and Gas Industry

21 January 2016

Charles Taylor Adjusting – Energy are hosting a seminar which will focus on Ageing Assets in the offshore oil and gas industry.

We will be joined by guest speakers; Jonathan Blackstaffe (AIG), Andrew Jackson (Willis) and Dennis Culligan (Longdown Risk Consulting).

With the present economic outlook and the slowdown in large-scale capital investment in the offshore sector, the case for oil companies squeezing their existing assets may be more compelling than ever.

Already, many assets in the developed oil and gas fields are operating beyond the time period that was originally envisaged for them – and the trend is likely to continue.

In this technical seminar, we will explore and discuss;

  • How ageing assets are categorised,
  • Technology’s role in enhancing the life and utilisation of an asset,
  • Potential issues that may be encountered in insurance claims which arise from ageing assets.
