Filling the dancefloor with Trevor Phillips OBE

Building a diverse and inclusive workplace builds better and stronger businesses, Trevor Phillips, OBE told clients, senior management and staff of Charles Taylor. Drawing on the analogy of filling the dancefloor by playing music which appeals to people from every background, Trevor set out some of the steps businesses need to take to capture the benefits of diversity and inclusion.
Trevor Phillips was speaking at an event to mark Black History Month at Charles Taylor. An audience of around 100 enjoyed a thought provoking and witty presentation which challenged perceptions and provided practical guidance on building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Trevor Phillips is a well-known British writer, broadcaster and businessman. In 2003 he became head of the Commission for Racial Equality, now known as the Equality and Human Rights Commission, he is also Deputy Chairman of the Board of National Equality Standard.
