About This Individual
  • Alastair has worked as a loss adjuster for over 25 years. He specialises in casualty claims worldwide, and the management and coordination of global liability programmes.
  • After graduating, Alastair joined a loss adjusting firm in 1989, helping to deal with the 1990 storms in Southern England before moving to deal with commercial claims in Central London. 
  • After an attachment in Puerto Rico dealing with claims arising from Hurricane Georges in 1998, he began to specialise in liability and then products liability claims of all types.
  • From 2005, Alastair began to handle casualty claims internationally dealing with losses both on home foreign basis and via colleagues, as well as manging international casualty programmes. 
  • Losses handled include high value multi party and multi jurisdiction claims including a critical failure of air handling systems to a coal mine in Western Australia; failre of computer systems in Genoa container port; explosion of cryogenic container aboard ship Persian Gulf; damage and loss of use to hundreds of chemical silos to the US and Canada; contamination of baby food in the Netherlands, Spain, Nigeria and Hong Kong; recall of packaging in 19 territories across Asia; failure of UPS and data centre outages.
  • Management of accounts includes scenario planning, attendance at review meetings, and all related activities.
  • He joined Charles Taylor Adjusting in April 2017.
