About This Individual
  • Bob has investigated and adjusted on losses internationally since 1978 after graduating from UNB Saint John from a A.I.I.C program. He has been a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers since 1988 and has a vast knowledge of technical training in the industry. He has worked under policies of Marine Liability, Casualty, Property and Business Interruption. He has trained at a number of various Offshore Rigs, including Drillships, Jackups and Sami-Submersibles.

  • Bob has also been a participant on a variety of Oil & Gas Crisis Management Teams, including Shell Canada Ltd.  Principal area of expertise includes all aspects of marine and energy exploration, development and power generation, including a specific interest in renewable energy.  He is currently engaged on a number of assignments involving both conventional and renewable energy claims within Atlantic Canada.

  • Since having moved to Calgary Alberta in early 1992, and then back to Nova Scotia in 2001, he has worked on numerous claims involving upstream, midstream and downstream energy facilities, including numerous blowouts, in-hole equipment losses, drilling rig physical damage, production and processing facilities, such as gas plants, fractionation and petro-chemical plants, refineries and power generation facilities throughout North America.

  • Bob worked in the industry on the east coast of Canada until 1996 when he became president of Hutchins & Moore maintaining that role into CTC, Canada after they purchased the company. From 2008 until present Bob has remained President at Atlantic Energy Claim Service Inc.
