About This Individual
David originally trained as a British Airways aircraft engineering apprentice, prior to gaining UK CAA type licences and approvals on both wide and narrow body aircraft, including Concorde. After 16 years with BA, he joined Royal Brunei Airlines as licenced supervisor engineer, maintaining RBA's Boeing 737 and 757 fleet covering both base and line maintenance, including duty line engineer with outstation deployments in the Far East, Australia and Dubai. Returning to the UK in 1990, David entered the London aviation insurance market, working with Airclaims, before joining Lloyd's Aviation in 1997, later to become Charles Taylor Aviation, as a Hull Surveyor handling worldwide airline losses, out of London, and is now one of Charles Taylor's Senior Hull Surveyors. David continues in this role with over 23 years' experience covering major Airline and Product liability losses in Europe, Africa, India, Middle East and Russia.
