Malcolm commenced his career in the insurance industry in 1990, when he joined an insurance company as a Loss Assessor. His previous trade experience with heavy machinery enabled him to quickly progress from motor vehicle to large commercial plant and machinery claims. In 1994, Malcolm accepted a position with a local adjuster in Cairns where he gained experience in a wide variety of claims ranging from household, commercial property and plant, marine, liability and workers compensation. Malcolm returned to Brisbane in 2000 where he was employed by a large International Insurer as an internal adjuster reviewing domestic, commercial plant and motor liability claims. In 2004, Malcolm returned to the adjusting profession as a Senior Loss Adjuster. During this period of his career, he handled numerous property, engineering, construction, plant and machinery, marine and liability claims. He was also involved in significant construction and engineering-related losses arising from various catastrophic weather events. Malcolm joined Charles Taylor Adjusting in October 2009 to concentrate on engineering, construction and machinery related claims.
