Richard Ladroga is a licensed Professional Electrical Power Engineer with over 30 years of experience. He is past Chairman of ANSI/IEEE Working Group C57.104, active on numerous other Working Groups and Standards, and past Chairman of the Insulating Fluids Subcommittee. Prior to joining Charles Taylor, Richard served as Director – ENERGY at DeSimone Consulting Engineers, where he provided technical expertise and leadership in performing complex forensic investigations and analyses. His extensive engineering background also includes serving as President and Principal Engineer of Risk Management International, LLC, and as Vice President, Global Strategic Development for Doble Engineering Corporation.
He is a Senior Member of the IEEE; Member of the IEEE Power Engineering Society, IEEE Transformers Committee; IEEE Standards Association; Board Certified Diplomat of the National Academy of Forensic Engineers, and Member of the National Society of Professional Engineers.
Richard has published numerous papers and articles and has testified as an expert witness in state and federal courts. His breadth of technical expertise in diverse industry sectors includes Electric Utilities, Oil & Gas (Onshore & Offshore), Petrochemical, Mining & Ore Production, Pulp & Paper, Industrial, Commercial, Hospitals, Universities, and all other large bulk users of electrical power. He has served as a technical expert on numerous disaster events including Hurricanes Katrina, Harvey, Irma, Maria, and human contact events (electrocutions), explosions, and fires.
He earned his Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering, Power Systems from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1991.
