About This Individual
Vanessa Zavala holds a PhD on Geotechnical Engineering and Geosciences from the Technical University of Catalonia, Spain. She specialised on the transportation of contaminant solutes in the subsoil, mainly on the characterisation of mixing and spreading of contaminant solutes in heterogeneous aquifers. During her PhD, she worked as researcher in the Fundamental Processes of the Radionuclide Migration project of the European Commission for five years. Her main results were published on international scientific publications. Vanessa also holds a Geophysical Engineering Degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Before starting her PhD in 2003, she worked for Charles Taylor Adjusting for one year where she concentrated on the analysis of environmental losses in the oil industry. Vanessa joined the Energy Division of Charles Taylor Adjusting in July 2008 once again as full-time consultant.
